“Green Public Day” took place today (29 March) as part of the 2025 Macao International Environmental Co-operation Forum & Exhibition (2025MIECF) hosted by the Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region and co-ordinated by the Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute and the Environmental Protection Bureau. This activity attracted significant participation from the public, who gained insights into the latest information and technologies on environmental protection through the green platform offered by the MIECF, and promoted a wide range of green and low-carbon practices as a way to build green and beautiful cities together.

This year’s Green Public Day continued to offer free admission to the public. Under the theme “Innovation and Green Development – Solutions to Build Beautiful Cities”, the day featured a diverse array of green elements, including stage games, booth games, environmental workshops, and a lucky draw.

Residents who participated in Green Public Day recognised it as an effective gateway to access new environmental information and technologies, thereby raising their awareness of carbon reduction and environmental protection. Taking part in environmental education activities with family members presented a meaningful opportunity for the younger generation to acquire environmental knowledge.

As always, a series of engaging and educational activities were held during this year’s Green Public Day to inform residents about carbon reduction tips, along with environmental workshops that gave participants a taste of the joy of upcycling.

To facilitate exchanges on environmental technologies, technical visits to the Macao Electronic and Electrical Equipment Recycling Treatment Facility and the Cotai Ecological Zones were arranged this morning.
