In line with the country’s and international dual carbon targets, many places are promoting an all-rounded green and low-carbon economic and social transformation, and the ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) strategy has become an important driving force. The Forum will focus on the integrated development of ESG and the “1+4” industries, in building a circular economy ecosystem for a high-quality and sustainable green economy.

Co-operation and Exchange (Internal Meeting)

In order to promote the co-operation between Macao and the Pan-Peal River Delta Region environmental protection industries, this session is held in the form of a co-operation and exchange conference, to which representatives from the relevant associations from across the nine Pan-Pearl River Delta provinces and Macao are invited to share their experience. The conference will focus on the current situation, demand, trend, and regional co-operation intentions of the environmental protection industry in the Pan-Pearl River Delta provinces, so as to provide a platform for the industry colleagues to understand the demand and potential of the environmental market in each region and to assist them in exploring opportunities for co-operation.

Creating a Blueprint for a Carbon Neutral City to Tackle Climate Change

Plans for peaking carbon dioxide emissions and achieving carbon neutrality have become increasingly important on an international scale to better cope with climate change, as well as a key task in promoting the economic, social and environmental development of China.
In this session, local and overseas experts, scholars and industry professionals are invited to explore, from a macro perspective, the pathway to create and implement the blueprint for a carbon neutral city and advocate collective responsibility for green development, which aims to achieve sustainable development of the society.
