Professor Lan Hong, SHE nationality, Ph.D. in Economics, Postdoctoral Fellow of Renmin University of China and New York University, Deputy Director of Eco-finance Research Centre of Renmin University of China, Professor of Environment School of Renmin University of China, Doctoral Supervisor of PhD student of Green Finance, and distinguished dean of Sino Research Institute of Green Finance. Deputy Director of Green Finance Branch of Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences, Deputy Director of Green Finance Professional Committee of China Association of Environmental Protection Industry, Member of China International Economic Society, Senior Academic Adviser of the UNEP Sustainable Financial Initiative, Green Finance Expert of World Bank and Asian Development Bank. Green Finance Consultant of Beijing City Sub-centre, Chief Green Finance Expert of Jiangsu Finance Association, Green Finance Consultant of Jiangxi Province and Guizhou Province. Deputy Director of Beijing Municipal Committee on Resources and Environment of the Chinese Peasants’ and Workers’ Democratic Party (CPWDP), and Member of the CPWDP Central Committee on Resources and Environment. She was named “the most influential young scholar of Chinese Humanities and Social Sciences in 2015”. And she is one of the first scholars to engage in green finance research and practice in China. From 2006 to 2007, she served as senior technical adviser to the Sustainable Finance Action Group of the United Nations Environment Programme. And from 2007 to 2010, she was the technical consultant of the Green Finance Project of the World Bank’s Washington headquarters. From 2017 to 2020, she served as the director of the Green Finance Management Committee of Gui’an New District, Guizhou, one of the first batch of national green finance pilot zones.

Professor Lan will deliver a keynote speech on the theme of "Deepen Co-operation on Green Finance, Work Together to Achieve Carbon Neutrality" at the opening ceremony, where he will share insights and engage in discussions.
