Associate Researcher of the South China Institute of Environmental Sciences, Ministry of Ecology and Environment, People’s Republic of China


Mr. Zhao Ziwen is an Associate Researcher at the South China Institute of Environmental Sciences, Ministry of Ecology and Environment of the People’s Republic of China. He also serves as master's supervisor at Southeast University, Jinan University, and other institutions. Mr. Zhao obtained his bachelor's degree from Sun Yat-sen University and completed his master and doctoral studies at the University of Tsukuba, Japan. He subsequently conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Tsukuba and worked at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Japan.


His research primarily focuses on wastewater treatment and resource recovery. In recent years, he has led or participated in 15 national and international research projects, including sub-projects of the National Key R&D Program of China, on-site tracking studies for the ecological protection and restoration of the Yangtze River in Lijiang, the Guangdong Natural Science Foundation, and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) programs. Additionally, he has completed over 10 environmental technology consulting projects.


Mr. Zhao has published over 40 research papers in academic journals and holds 5 granted national invention patents.
