Professor Li Guanghe, Professor in Tsinghua University, Director of the Division of Groundwater and Soil Environment, School of Environment. Prof. Li’s major research area includes water pollution remediation technologies and engineering, water quality diagnosis and rational utilization, water pollution control theories and technologies, impaired groundwater purification theories and technologies. He has participated as principle investigator or co-investigator in over 60 national, provincial or ministerial level projects, including National Science and Technology Major Project of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, National Programs for Science and Technology Development, National High-Tech Research and Development Program of China (863 Program) etc. Prof. Li has published over 150 high quality research articles, 9 books, 12 granted national patents, and 9 technical guides, standards and management documents. Prof. Li has been awarded 6 State, Provincial and Ministerial Science and Technology Prizes. Prof. Li also has adjunct appointments as member of Science and Technology Commission of the Ministry of Education, member of the Expert Committee on the Appraisal and Evaluation of Environmental Damage of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, member of Chinese Society of Environmental Sciences (chair of Expert Committee on Soil and Groundwater Environment), administrative advisory committee member of China Association for Science and Technology, deputy chair of Beijing Society of Environmental Sciences.
