Cancelation of offline activities owing to the latest COVID-19 developments

The “2021 Macao International Environmental Co-operation Forum & Exhibition” (2021MIECF), hosted by the Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region, was scheduled to take place both online and offline from 5 to 7 August. However, in view of the latest COVID-19 developments, it is decided after thorough consideration that all the offline activities of the 2021MIECF will be cancelled, including the Green Forum and physical exhibitions, to avoid crowd gatherings and reduce the risk of outbreaks. To help enterprises seize green business opportunities, the 2021MIECF will retain online exhibitions and actively organise other online activities, such as online business matching.

2019MIECF Hosted Buyer Program
Target Group
International buyers and investors from relevant industries with the aim of seeking business opportunities during the MIECF (Note: International = outside of Macao; buyers shall be decision-makers from relevant enterprises/entities or professionals who can influence decisions made on procurement of environmentally-friendly products/services)
Incentive Scheme
Scheme 1: 2 nights’ accommodation at the official hotel (limited to March 28 and 29 nights only);
Scheme 2: 1 night’s accommodation at the official hotel (limited to March 28 night only) and a round-trip ferry ticket or bus ticket for an ordinary seat for travel between Hong Kong and Macao (arrival in Macao before noon on March 28 and departure from Macao after 14:00 on March 29);
Scheme 3: one set of round-trip economy class ferry or bus tickets between Hong Kong and Macao (arrival in Macao before 12:00 on March 28 or before noon on March 29 and departure from Macao from 18:00 on March 28 to March 29).
Deposit required (refundable after completing tasks assigned by the MIECF)
After logging in to the system, join the “2019MIECF” event as a buyer
Fill in your purchasing items, and key in HB + incentive option no. of choice (ie. HB1/ HB2/ HB3) under the “Booth Location” field
Schedule meetings with MIECF’s exhibitors
Approved buyers will be contacted for deposit payment
Settle deposit to confirm participation in the program
Confirm hotel booking / ferry ticket arrangement
Methods of Allocation
Allocation is made according to the remaining quota of hosted buyers (allocated on a “first come, first served” basis due to a limited quota);
Applicants certified as eligible for the program shall submit the deposit to the official travel agency of MIECF, and from March 29 to 30, register at the “Hosted Buyer Service Area” and get relevant documents of proof of participation. After completing assigned tasks, they shall present supporting documents for verification at the “Hosted Buyer Service Area” and register for the deposit refund.
Required Tasks
Hosted buyers must check-in and pick up the badges at the Hosted Buyer Service Area upon arrival at The Venetian Macao Hall A. After completing the following tasks, buyers must complete the “Hosted Buyer Program Fulfillment Form” for verification at the Hosted Buyer Service Area in order to register for the deposit refund:
Register on the Online Business Matching Service Platform (http://bm.ipim.gov.mo);
Scheme 1 and Scheme 2: preschedule and attend at least 3 business matching sessions arranged online & attend 6 business matching sessions with MIECF exhibitors (name cards as supporting documents);
Scheme 3: preschedule and attend at least 3 business matching sessions arranged online & attend 3 business matching sessions with MIECF exhibitors (name cards as supporting documents);
Attend at least one exhibition site tour;
Fill out the Questionnaire for Hosted Buyers’ Outcomes properly and submit relevant information for verification; in order to improve the arrangements and quality of the Hosted Buyer Program, MIECF will randomly invite hosted buyers participating in this program for a face-to-face interview.
Remarks
MIECF reserves the right to reject any application to the Hosted Buyer Program.
Applicants entitled to this incentive package shall not be eligible to other incentive offers.
MIECF reserves the right to terminate the program and to make final judgment on all the terms and arrangement.
Maximum two buyers from each company may apply this offer.
Service fees and bank charges incurred during payment and refunding will be borne by applicants themselves and MIECF will not provide any subsidies for such costs;
Prescheduled business matching sessions will take place at the “Green Matching Area” located inside expo Hall A. Upon arrival, please proceed to at the reception of the Matching Area for endorsement of attendance on the Fulfillment Form. For additional business matching sessions with exhibitors, please visit the booths of interest directly and present name cards collected from these sessions as supporting documents when submitting the Fulfillment Form.
Hosted buyers choosing incentive schemes 2 and 3 will be offered an electronic ferry ticket or a voucher bound for Macao from Hong Kong. A return ferry ticket or a bus ticket will be issued in an electronic or a voucher form to hosted buyers after their documents and refund registration are verified. Upon verification, the deposit will be refunded onsite in cash in the same currency of the original payment.
In order to improve the arrangement of Hosted Buyer Program, staff will be interviewing hosted buyers randomly.
