BEAM Society Limited (BSL), owner of Building Environmental Assessment Method (BEAM), is a non-profit public body committed to developing and implementing the BEAM assessment tools (HK-BEAM & BEAM Plus), assessing green building environments and training BEAM Professionals (BEAM Pro) and BEAM Affiliates. Appreciated by the Hong Kong Government and developers, BEAM assessment and certification provide users with a single performance label that demonstrates the overall quality of a building. A qualified BEAM building is safer, healthier, more comfortable, more functional and more efficient. BEAM Plus is tailor-made for the high-rise, high density built environment of sub-tropical climate in Hong Kong, which embraces a range of good practices in planning, design, construction, management, operation and maintenance of buildings, and is aligned with local regulations, standards and codes of practice. On a per capita basis, BEAM is one of the most widely used voluntary green building labelling schemes of its kind in the world. | |

建築環保評估協會有限公司(BSL) 為非牟利公共機構。自1996年創立建築環保評估法 (BEAM)後，於2010年推出的BEAM Plus「綠建環評」，一直致力提升及發展建築環評評估方法、評估綠色建築環境並培訓綠建專才 (BEAM Pro)及綠建通才(BEAM Affiliate)。 綠色建築環保評估法(綠建環評)(BEAM Plus)一直得到政府和發展商的支持，在香港受到廣泛應用。評估方法及認證服務為最終用家釐定一個統一的量化方法，驗證建築物是否達到可持續發展的目標，並為建築物整體質素評級。一座合資格的綠色建築物比起一般的較為安全、舒適、高效、健康及提供更多樣化的功能。 「綠建環評」是針對香港亞熱帶氣候、人口高樓密集的一套認證標準，與本地條例、標準及專業守則相對應。至今，綠建評級是目前按人均計算最為廣泛使用的自願性綠色建築評估法之一。 | |
