Wu Ye

Prof. Wu Ye, Associate Dean of School of Environment, TsinghuaUniversity (China)

Prof. Wu Ye has worked as the full professor and associate dean in School of Environment, Tsinghua University. He is Deputy Director of State Environmental Protection Key Laboratory of Sources and Control of Air Pollution Complex. He received a Ph.D. degree in 2002 in environmental engineering from Tsinghua University. He served as a vehicle/fuel systems analyst in DOE’s Argonne National Laboratory’s Center for Transportation Research between 2002 and 2007. His major research areas include evaluation of life-cycle energy and environmental impacts of advanced vehicle technologies and alternative transportation fuels; analysis of characteristics of vehicular emissions and development of control planning of vehicle emission pollution; and development of urban and national transportation database and inventory on energy consumption and emissions of greenhouse gases and criteria air pollutants. Dr. Wu is one of the principal investigators to develop the comprehensive vehicle emission control planning in several cities of China, such as Beijing, Guangzhou, Nanjing and Macao. So far he has published more than 100 papers and awarded 2 National Science and Technology Progress Award.
