Mr. Tony Lam, President of Macau Fair & Trade Association (Macao)

Bios

Mr. Tony Lam is President of the Macau Fair and Trade Association and Managing Director of the Creation Advertising Co., Ltd. Over the past two decades, he has been actively promoting the MICE industry in Macao, and he attaches particular importance to sustainable green MICE projects. In 2010, he founded the “Green Booth Award and Green Electricity Fee Rebate” Plan to encourage exhibitors, exhibition stand designers and builders to reduce waste at the source and value environmental protection. This year marks the 15th anniversary of the award, which has been widely recognized both at home and abroad in the industry. In 2016, the Macau Fair and Trade Association signed a “Cooperation Agreement on Working Together to Build a Green MICE Metropolis” with representatives from the MICE Alliance of Pan-Pearl River Delta Cities, in an effort to promote the cause of green MICE and environmental protection.

With the efforts of Mr. Lam, the Macau Fair and Trade Association is currently planning a guideline on Macao’s green MICE and a plan for reducing and offsetting carbon emissions in the MICE industry, both of which are planned to be launched by the end of 2018.
