Mr. Rishi Tirupari, Director of Sustainability, Sands China Ltd. (Macao)

Bios

Rishi Tirupari is the Director of Sustainability for Sands China Ltd. where he is responsible for the energy efficiency, sustainability strategy and green meetings & events across Sands China Ltd properties comprising of more than 30 Million sq.ft of integrated resort facility with over 13,000 rooms across 7 brand hotels and more than 1.5 million sq.ft MICE space.

Prior to joining Sands China Ltd., Rishi headed the Las Vegas Sands’ US properties sustainability efforts and was responsible to set and execute the Sands ECO360 strategy for The Venetian Las Vegas, The Palazzo Las Vegas and Sands Expo and Convention Center and was instrumental in Las Vegas Sands achieving their carbon emission, waste and water usage reduction targets.

Rishi was also the National Chair for the USGBC Student groups where he oversaw and directed the programs of USGBC Students in all higher educational institutions in multiples states across the U.S. He is also currently serving on USGBC’s LEED Pilot Credit Committee where he facilitates the introduction of new credits to the LEED rating systems.

Rishi has a Master of Business Administration from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, a Master of Science in Construction Management from University of Washington, Seattle and a Bachelor in Civil Engineering from JNTU Hyderabad, India. Rishi is a LEED O+M Accredited Professional, a Certified Sustainable Building Advisor and Certified Energy Manager (CEM).
