Dr. Ouyang Zhiyun is Director and Research Fellow of the Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Vice President of the Ecological Society of China. In addition to more than 10 monographs, he has also published over 400 papers, of which more than 150 are available from SCI journals and 7 are co-published in Science and PNAS, two internationally recognized science journals. Three of his research projects have won the State Science and Technology Advancement Award (second class) and seven have won the provincial and ministerial science and technology awards. He is mainly devoted to the research of ecosystem services, ecosystem assessment and conservation, biodiversity conservation, and urban ecology. Research projects he has led include Eco-technology Demonstration and Eco-community Building for Urban Green Development, Study on Macao’s Ecosystem and Management, Study on Beijing’s Ecological Environment Evolution and Regulation Mechanisms, Study on Coupled Human and Natural Systems and Regulation Methods in a Social-Economic-Natural Complex Ecosystem.
