2016MIECF organises for the first time guided tour for government departments to promote its role as a platform for green procurement
As a part of MIECF’s role as a green commercial and trade service platform, and to strengthen interactions between buyers and suppliers, a “service delivery” concept was introduced in the 2016 Macao International Environmental Co-operation Forum and Exhibition (2016MIECF). Guided tour was organised for representatives of the procurement divisions of government departments, enabling them to have more understanding of the latest environmental products and technology and promote development of green industries.
Twenty members of the guided tour visited exhibition areas of the environmental industry, green transportation and the Pan-Pearl River Delta region at 3:00pm today (31 March). Members took the opportunity to conduct procurement matching and negotiation with the exhibitors. Special briefing was arranged to introduce the latest products and technologies in the respective exhibition areas and enabled the participants to understand more about the technological development of the green industry in the “9+2” Pan-Pearl River Delta Region, gathering information that may contribute to the development of moderate economic diversification and promote the growth of the green industry. Members of the guided tour showed great interest in some of the products and technologies showcased at 2016MIECF, and expressed interest in knowing more about the green products.
Participating government departments included, (in alphabetical order): Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau; Cultural Affairs Bureau; Environmental Protection Bureau; Financial Services Bureau; Gaming Inspection and Co-ordination Bureau; Land, Public Works and Transport Bureau; Macao Economic Services; Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute and the Transport Bureau.
