Mr. Wang Tie, Deputy Director of the Department of Climate Change, Ministry of Ecology and Environment of the People’s Republic of China (Mainland China)

Topic: The Establishment and Progress of China’s Carbon Market

Mr. Wang Tie graduated from the Renmin University of China with a master’s degree in Environmental Economics in 2008. From June 2011 to April 2018, he worked in the Climate Change Department of the National Development and Reform Commission. From April 2008 until now he has been the Deputy Director of the Domestic Policy and Implementation Division (ETS Management Division) of the Climate Change Department, Ministry of Ecology and Environment. Mr. Wang has long been engaged in management of China’s climate change. In recent years, he has mainly been engaged in the construction of national carbon market and the implementation of the UNFCCC.
