台灣綠色科技產業聯盟(原名南台灣綠色科技聯盟)於2011年3月正式向內政部申請成立全國性組織獲准，並在2014年更名為台灣綠色科技產業聯盟(以下簡稱本聯盟)。

Taiwan Green Technology Industry Alliance (formerly Southern Taiwan Green Technology Alliance) formally applied for the establishment of a national organization approved by the Ministry of the Interior in March 2011 andwas renamed as Taiwan’s Green Technology Industry Alliance (TGTIA) in 2014.

地球暖化所帶來氣候變遷的災變頻傳，各國政府開始積極投入綠色新政，本聯盟近年來積極參與政府綠能政策法案的制定與推廣，引領台灣綠色產業廠商積極投入研發及策略合作，並結合產、官、學、研的資源，提升產業研發轉型，形成產學研合作平台，促進與全國產業創新技術的異業結盟合作，提升產業研發能量，並配合政府政策積極推廣節能減碳觀念，創造內需市場，同時帶動產業快速轉型，達到聯盟共榮的目的。

The TIGIA is also to promote alliances and alliances with industry innovation technologies, to enhance industrial R & D energy and to promote energy saving and carbon reduction concepts in line with government policies.
